Design Collective was recently awarded two major school renovations through Baltimore City Public School’s Construction and Revitalization Program which was approved by the Maryland General Assembly during the 2013 legislative session. The Program authorized funding for up to $1.1 billion for the renovation and replacement of city school buildings. Design Collective has begun working on phased renovations and additions to Arlington Elementary/Middle and Pimlico Elementary, in collaboration with Samaha Associates, to transform these schools into true 21st century learning environments. The designs for both schools are targeting LEED Silver Certification.
