Design Collective Promotes New Principals, Senior Associates and Associates

Baltimore, Md. – Design Collective Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of two new Principals, two Senior Associates and three Associates:

Principals

Jennifer McLaughlin, CID, IIDA
A certified interior designer with over 21 years of experience, Jennifer is an exceptionally skilled interior designer and project manager specializing in complex interior projects. She works fluidly across all of Design Collective’s sectors: workplace/corporate, multi-family, institutional, student housing and civic/cultural. With a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Temple University, she brings a comprehensive understanding of interior architecture and design to every project. Most recently, Jennifer worked on the award-winning designs for Cushman & Wakefield’s Baltimore office and Nine East 33rd, a mixed-use student housing project for Johns Hopkins University.

Brian Reetz, PLA, ASLA
A professional landscape architect, Brian serves as the Director of the Landscape Architecture Studio and offers 17 years of experience providing award-winning landscape design for diverse project types including dynamic urban open spaces, campus master plans, live-learn communities, mixed-use multi-family housing, green roofs and construction intensive projects. Among his most notable projects, he led the award-winning open space design for Rutgers University’s Livingston Campus improvements in Piscataway, New Jersey. Brian received his bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Wisconsin- Madison.

Senior Associates

Seonhee Kim, AIA, LEED AP BD+C
A recipient of the coveted Dean’s Thesis Award, Seonhee graduated from the University of Maryland’s School of Architecture in 2004 with a Master’s degree in Architecture. In her 13 years of experience, her experience includes a wide variety of projects ranging from higher education and student housing to mixed-use and commercial office buildings. As Director of Sustainability, Seonhee is an expert on high performance design and an advocate for the environmental and health effects of building design.

Meredith Sullivan, AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Meredith brings over 17 years of experience and an impressive portfolio of academic facilities for K-12 clients. She has worked on many public elementary and secondary schools, completing projects for Baltimore City Public Schools, Baltimore County Public Schools and Howard County Public Schools. At present, she is managing the renovation/addition of Pimlico Elementary/Middle School and Arlington Elementary and the replacement of Calvin M. Rodwell Elementary/Middle School in Baltimore City.

Associates

Brady Mark, AIA, LEED AP BD+C
A registered architect with over ten years of experience, Brady received his Masters of Architecture and Bachelor of Arts in architectural studies from the University of Kansas. He has been involved in many of the firm’s most complex renovations, including the recent renovation of HJ Patterson Hall Wing 1 at the University of Maryland, College Park. Brady is currently working on Towson University’s Union Renovation and Expansion.

Emily Sales, AIA, LEED AP BD+C
After earning her Masters of Architecture degree with honors from the University of Maryland in 2002, Emily joined Design Collective and has since been an invaluable team member for a variety of projects.
She has worked on several of the firm’s most notable mixed-use residential projects, including The Metropolitan in Columbia, Maryland. Currently, Emily is working on Resa, a mixed-use residential high-rise in the NoMa neighborhood of Washington, DC.

Dan Schultz, AIA, CCCA, LEED AP BD+C
Dan is a registered architect with over ten years of professional experience at Design Collective. He has worked on some of the firm’s most notable mixed-use, multi-family and student housing projects, including Pallas at Pike & Rose and Potomac Place at Shepherd University. Dan is now working on Stevens Institute of Technology’s new student housing and university center in Hoboken, New Jersey. Dan received his bachelor of architecture from Virginia Tech.
