Baltimore, MD. – Design Collective Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of two new Senior Associates and one new Associate.
Those promoted to Senior Associate include:
Michael Summers, AIA, CDT
An Architect with over 18 years of experience, Michael has been a vital team member on many mixed-use residential projects. He is currently working on the 50,000 SF renovation to the B&O Railroad Museum’s South Car Shop in Baltimore, MD, as well as a new residence hall for Florida Polytechnic University in Lakeland, FL. Previously, Michael played an integral role on the award-winning design of a new Living-Learning Community for the University of the Sciences (now St. Joseph’s University) and Hanover North Broad, a new mixed-use development for Hanover Company in Philadelphia, PA.
Nick Tomaszewski, AIA
An Architect with over 11 years of experience, Nick has worked on some of the firm’s most notable projects including the Pearl, an award-winning LEED Gold high-rise in Silver Spring, MD, and the transformational renovations to Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD. Prior to that, Nick was the Project Architect on the College Park City Hall project, an award-winning design for the University of Maryland, City of College Park, and its residents. He is currently working on a new landmark building for Johns Hopkins University, galvanizing their commitment to the surrounding community and contributions to modern medicine.
Those promoted to Associate include:
MacKenzie Twardus, PLA
A planner and urban designer with over 10 years in practice, MacKenzie has extensive experience in transit-oriented development, real estate development, mixed-use, community engagement, tactical urbanism, campus planning, corridor plans, and small area plans. Most recently, MacKenzie worked on the award-winning Central Avenue and Blue Line Corridor Vision Plan for Prince George’s County, MD. She is currently working on the Crownsville Hospital Memorial Park Master Plan, as well as several transit-oriented projects throughout the East Coast.
