The North Bethesda Town Center developer is gearing up to build the highest-end of the three apartment complexes planned for the project next to the White Flint Metro station.

Images of the 295-unit complex will be presented to community members during a Monday night meeting and were shared earlier in the day with the Bethesda Beat. The developer, LCOR White Flint, has already constructed two other apartment buildings – the 312-unit Wentworth House was completed in 2008 and the 341-unit Aurora was finished in 2014 – a 63,000-square-foot Harris Teeter grocery store and a 362,000-square-foot office building for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission on the 32-acre site east of Rockville Pike.

LCOR hopes to break ground on the final housing project by summer of 2018 and expects construction will take about two years, said Matt Hard, the company’s vice president of development. The plans call for streetscaping and adding a bike lane to Marinelli Road, the thoroughfare that will pass in front of the new apartments, Hard said.

The three residential complexes are meant to provide options serving a wide range of incomes, he said, with the third apartment building boasting the most amenities and features. The buildings will stand around a shared civic green, and LCOR hopes to host events that will bring together residents from all three apartments to forge a sense of community.

LCOR representatives will discuss their plans with community members starting at 7 p.m. at the Kennedy Shriver Aquatic Center at 5900 Executive Blvd., in North Bethesda. Hard said he hopes to submit a site plan application to the Montgomery County Planning Board before the month’s end.
