The Urban Land Institute Nashville recognized 10 local development projects with Excellence in Development Awards on Wednesday.

Winners were chosen from among 28 entries of private, public and nonprofit sector projects. This was the first year submissions were classified by categories.

Held annually since 2008, ULI Nashville's Excellence in Development Awards recognize excellence in land use, design, construction and economics plus collaboration among development team members.

Roughly 475 ULI members and guests attended the ceremony at the Omni Nashville Hotel.

Jimmy Granbery, chairman of ULI Nashville and CEO of H.G. Hill Realty Co., called the winning projects prime examples of how development excellence matters, adding they also reflect diversity of the local community.
