Reconnecting Charles Street - Baltimore, MD

Design Collective is working with RK&K engineers, Central Baltimore Partnership and Baltimore CIty Department of Transportation to provide planning and engineering services for improving pedestrian connectivity along Charles Street in the vicinity of I-83 and Penn Station in Baltimore, which may include bridge widening on part or all of the Charles Street viaduct to accomodate potential new development between Oliver Street and Lanvale Street. The RK&K/Design Collective team will work with stakeholders to determine possible bridge flanking and widening concepts as well as pedestrian circulation and streetscape improvements. Design Collective recently completed various projects in the surrounding vicinity inculding the award-winning Fitzgerald and 1209 Charles Street mixed-use development projects and played a key role on the Station North master planning team.
