Metro Pike Center Set for Transformation into a Transit-Oriented & Walkable Urban Hub in White Flint

In continuation of the firm’s efforts to transform the White Flint sector into a vibrant mixed-use neighborhood, Design Collective has been engaged by Saul Centers to design Building A West, a 320-unit residential high-rise, the first of five 300’ mixed-use buildings adjacent to the White Flint Metro station for which Saul Centers received Sketch Plan approval in 2014. Three of the five mixed-use buildings will be located on the existing Metro Pike Center site, which fronts on the west side of Rockville Pike. Also going through early design studies is Building B West which will share a 3.5 level underground garage with Building A West. Both buildings will have ground floor retail, common amenity spaces and a skybridge linking the two buildings. Both buildings will be designed to achieve LEED Silver certification.
