Located in Charlotte's historic South End District, Ashton South End embraces the area's industrial heritage while offering a luxury residential project not yet seen in the city.

This 11-story building contains 310 rental units wrapped around a landscaped courtyard. Additionally, the project includes a 475-space parking garage for the residents that is accessible from the courtyard.

The loft apartments offer 10' ceilings, oversized windows and features that include exposed spiral ductwork and stained concrete floors. The ground floor contains 18 walk-up units with street and courtyard access. The one- and two-bedroom units range in size from 800 SF to 2,000 SF. Building amenities include a demonstration kitchen, movie theater, internet/coffee bar, fitness/aerobics and a roof top pool that offers a dramatic view of the city skyline and adjacent Dilworth neighborhood.

Importantly, Ashon South End will be located immediately adjacent to the East Boulevard light rail stop. This project was the first of many that supports the city's strategy for transit oriented development along the South Side light rail corridor.

The project, developed by the Hanover Company of Houston, Texas, began construction in spring 2007, and was completed in spring 2009.
